Responsive: UN Visual research

I made a board on Pinterest for some inspiration for the layout and illustrations of my UN poster. I wanted it to be educational and effective without being too dramatic and confusing. I found that I really engaged with those with powerful imagery, but with more muted tones. I think this is because the neutral colours made the visceral illustrations stand out and you could really focus on the message of the piece which is what I want also!

I also really liked those with characters in them, because it is almost like an anecdote but a visual one, without words but still telling a story, so I think I will take influence form this as well.

Some of my favourites:

Nick Tassone.

Blanca Gomez.

Eric Tan.

All of these have neutral backgrounds but with more bold colours for the important areas of interest. Some of them are very busy and others simple, but still equally effective. I am going to have a think about where I want to place my illustrations next, as I feel extremely motivated after researching all of these amazing artists!
