Setting Moodboards

Since Hayley and I decided on a carnival/circus/fun fair setting, I instantly went into research mode and gathered all the inspirational pictures I could find in order for some ideas to start with!

I started with researching the outside of a carnival tent because this was a look we were going for and I wanted to see all the different variations I could find before we started planning our own. It seems that the common theme is yellow and red, which I think I would like to follow so that the setting we make is distinctive in itself, and also they are just exciting colours!
I then had a look at the inside of a carnival tent because this is where our animation will actually be taking place and I noticed for the most part they are all the same just different heights and widths, therefore this is something I am going to have to practice making in Maya. I am also inspired to play around with lighting a lot more. Since a carnival is all about excitement and attracting people to all the different activities, I think lighting is going to be very vital in our animation!

Then because our animation revolves around a carnival game and having a little stand for our characters to interact with, I did some research on these too. I noticed that a lot of them are very detailed, and being realistic this is probably something we are not going to achieve, so I also looked at some simpler ones that I liked. Overall I think what I have researched, Hayley and I do have the potential to do this so I am very excited about giving her my feedback and seeing what we come up with next!
