Making A Maya Replica (Part 3)

For the next part of the model, I decided to make the feet, hands and head.
The foot was probably one of the most complex parts for me to make, because it was so intricate, and I had to keep tweaking and tweaking to make everything look natural and symmetrical. I started off by again, extruding the leg down to the base of the foot so that I could cover its surface area and then go into vertex and tidy up all the points.
This is what it looked like in global preview without the smooth effect. I think it started to come together nicely, but when I did add the smooth preview, it didn't look like a real foot.

Therefore I added some more edge loops in, lined them up and this gave me more points to kind of mould the shape of the foot and create an over all generalised foot shape.
I then used the 'Append To Polygon Tool' and filled in the base of the foot where there was a hole in, and then used the vertex tool again to merge the points where there were two in the same place. This then got rid of the blue border and allowed me to smooth preview my foot nicely.
After following a few more last steps, this is what my foot ended up looking like! I am very pleased with it, especially after it took me so long and I encounters a fair amount of problems.
My next area of focus was the neck and head of the character. I didn't think this would be challenging but I ended up doing something wrong when it came to the mouth and had to retry it multiple times in order to fix what I had done.

It is no surprise that the majority of creating the head and neck was extruding, therefore I think it is safe to say that I am well and truly acquainted with this action, so there should be no excuses when it comes to making my own character.
However, when it came to making the mouth, it was simple enough bevelling two faces of the front of my character, however when I had to extrude the edges bevelled backwards, and then snap the vertex's together, I had done something wrong which made my model's mouth look odd when I smooth previewed.
When creating an edge loop to make the mouth start to come together, it didn't actually 'come together' like stated in the tutorial. The only way it could do so for me, was to do two edge loops, and then it looked normal. However I was not sure how this would have affected the rigging of the character when or how it would look when I finally mirrored the model, therefore I went right back to the beginning and tried again.
This is my success!
