E4 - Though Process + Storyboarding

So E4 was the company that I was very interested in from my research, but then thinking of ideas for it was quite hard. I knew I really wanted to try something new, which was stop motion but since i've never done it before, but I was worried that it would be too much of a risk.

However I still had lots of mixed ideas, so I picked my favourite and did a very short storyboard to see how my idea could pan out.

Treatment

The treatment then for this idea, was that in the beginning of the animation, there is sort of a time lapse as multiple small balls start popping on the screen to eventually form, the company's brand E4. However one off them rolls off screen and then there is a small sequence where the ball rolls around and morphs into multiple things. For starters once he rolls in, I want him then to jump and expand into a cylinder shape, then as he hits the floor, instead of making him splat, I want to try and animate him as rolling off the screen. After that is when I want to morph him into several things, just so that it looks fluid and smooth and believable! Until finally he morphs into the logo of E4, and then the camera zooms in.

Material:

I want to use plasticine for this animation, because I feel like it is the most flexible material to manipulate and also because I have access to it. I do however enter one problem which is that I only have access to the colour WHITE. This isn't much of an issue for me as I want to recolour inphotoshop, especially for the logo. It may be more time consuming but I am prepared and I am willing to do some tests in order to see if it is something worth risking or to go for a different route.
