Before going ahead and doing any sort of ideas and concepts I went ahead and made some mood boards. This one is for E4.
Initially I found that from the gatherings of these images, E4 and the route that I have been thinking about going down, is very bright and colourful, and LOUD in what they do. And I really like this. I have been thinking A LOT about stop motion and plasticine and I am actually really excited. I try and involve a lot of colour and creativity in my animations and I really do feel like this ident will allow me to push myself even further. I have never done stop motion in my life, so I think if I can do it sufficiently, it will be a great achievement. I usually really hate stepping out of my comfort zone, and I know choosing to do this animation in digital would make me ore confident, however I am determined to try something different and the more I research about it, the more excited I am getting.
However from my findings, I have no correlation between the aesthetic and the demographic which is very interesting. Also the idents do not intertwine with the programmes that are televised either, so I think there is therefore SO much room for ideas and there are barely any boundaries. Which again, is exciting!
