I didn't really know how to make an animatic for this particular ident, because I wasn't exactly going to be drawing it, I will be using the method of stop motion. Therefore I found it a really big challenge to try and make one. I did though, end up doing two, and even though the first is rather minimalistic, I think it gives me a good idea of where my plasticine will be moving to at each given frame. However I wasn't happy with it, so I went ahead and redid it.
From the last Process and Production brief, I was advised to make my animatic less choppy and more frequent between frames which I think I have done here.
I have also taken into consideration the main colour, as opposed to just using black. I found this task really hard, but I think it will still benefit me in the future to aid me through the process of animating.
However I thought that the animatic was a bit too simple and embarrassing, so I went ahead and painted out my movements in water colour just to mix it up a bit and once I had gotten the movements, I went ahead and scanned them into my computer and then went ahead and made an animatic from them.
With this next animatic I considered the backdrop in which I want to have in the actual animation, as well as making my animatic look partially like an animation so I really will be able to follow it through once I start the production process. I really like the colour of this as well, so if my plasticine goes wrong I may use watercolour as a last resort. But I do prefer this animatic over the first one, but either one will be extremely useful when I come to animating.
