Adobe Flash Tuturial

Our tutorial on how to use Adobe Flash actually didn't go so bad. I had to write all the instructions down as we were going along however, because I tend to forget certain dimensions and properties and end up making the wrong thing. Other than that I actually really enjoyed the session. We were given a small task to animate a shape in the beginning and play with the easing in and out of it. To do this we had to convert our shape into a symbol and then create a tween. I still do not know what this term means, however I know it gives the shape the ability to move. I played around with all the easing in and out setting and found one which I liked best.

I then tried another animation, this time I wanted the challenge of animating multiple shapes. I did not know what way to go about this, so I just assumed that I would create new layers for each shape so that I could give them different actions and properties. I then wanted to make them bounce and this is something the easing in and out option would not do for me. Therefore I fiddled around with the timeline, so much so that I was able to do more tweens and make the balls bounce. But I found this to be really tricky and tedious because I could not get the balls to bounce naturally, and some are sporadic and others curved. But although this animation is really basic, it allowed me to grasp the concept of adding more actions to the shapes which I found really useful.
